Awarded by the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedpTM), Veritas Collaborative’s Nutrition and Dietetic Services Manager, Alice Merritt, MPH, RD, LDN, earns her Certified Eating Disorders Registered Dietician certification.
Candidates who choose to work towards this certification are required to maintain their Registered Dietician status through continuing education courses, enroll in various eating-disorder-specific iaedpTM courses, complete a 1500 word case study, pass the iaedpTM Certification Exam, have at least 2000 supervised direct care hours with eating disordered patients, and write a statement of intent. They must also be current iaedpTM members, sign an ethics statement, and provide three professional letters of recommendation.
Alice joins fewer than 50 professionals who’ve also obtained their CEDRD.
I am so impressed with how she seeks every opportunity to learn more about this field and best practice treatments. She has a sense of self-initiative that you don’t see very often. She cares deeply and passionately about our patients and their recovery, and she fights hard for them. She exemplifies why dietitians are a critical part of any effective treatment team.
