Life's demands may lead us to conclude that an eating disorder isn't so serious after all, and to make the decision to put off treatment. We understand. It’s why we take such care to meet you wherever you are in life, to take all your needs into account, and to do everything we can to make a challenging process as easy as it can be, from admission to discharge.
Yes, there are people who need you, other places you need to be, and things you want to do—but taking care of one’s health must come first.
We want to hear from you! Whether you are ready to begin treatment as soon as possible, schedule a comprehensive MED assessment, or learn more about our programs. we're happy to talk through the details and possible next steps. Our team of Master’s-Level Clinicians can complete a level of care assessment during that initial call or schedule a time that works better for you or your loved one. We are committed to collaborating with you, your loved ones, and/or referring providers to recommend the right level of care at the right time.
Assess Your Needs
The easiest way to get started with Veritas is to give us a call. Our Intake & Admissions Team can answer your questions and, if you’re ready, collect the information we need to learn more about you and your health concerns. If you prefer, however, you can fill out our basic intake forms online by clicking the provided links.
Insurance & Financials
We know how important it is to have a clear understanding of what care will cost and what insurance will cover. During our initial conversations, we’ll look into the details of your insurance plan and prepare an estimated financial projection for your review.
But our financial assistance doesn’t end there. We are committed to providing the most effective care possible at every stage of the recovery journey, and that means we’ll advocate on your behalf with your insurance company, whenever necessary, to ensure you are being treated at the right level of care at the right time.
We currently accept the following insurance plans: Aetna, Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, ComPsych, Magellan, Humana, Medcost, Kaiser Permanente, Multiplan, Magellan, Optum/United Healthcare, and Tricare. We also have experience working with Managed Medicaid. If your plan isn’t listed, we can work with your provider to create a single-case agreement and a care plan that’s right for you. Just give us a call.
Day of Admission & Beyond
Treatment at Veritas starts at whatever level of care is most appropriate for each person, whether that means full-time care—inpatient or acute residential—or a step down to one of our lower levels of care, such as Partial Hospitalization or Intensive Outpatient.
For those likely to need full-time care, either for themselves or a loved one, we know the prospect of starting treatment can be daunting. That’s certainly understandable. But please know that helping you feel welcome and comfortable at Veritas is a priority for us, and it begins with that very first phone call.
Before your admission, your Intake Coordinator will provide you with a packing guide and an admission day agenda. They will also answer any questions you have about the admissions process and our treatment programs. If you're not from the area, our team can also help you find housing and other services for yourself and your support community.
When you arrive on admission day, your Intake Coordinator will greet you and guide you through the process. After completing any necessary paperwork, you’ll have the opportunity to tour the facility (if medically appropriate) and briefly meet with each member of your multidisciplinary treatment team. Our goal is to provide you with a warm welcome and all of the information you need to begin the recovery process.
As you step down to lower levels of care, we recognize that it may be better for you and those important to you if you were closer to home. For this reason, we offer a consistent treatment experience and the full continuum of care across our North Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia treatment areas. Transferring from one location to another is a seamless experience—by design.
Additionally, and with your permission, we will keep your outpatient treatment providers updated on your progress and, when the time comes, work with them to ensure that you have the resources you need to maintain recovery in your home environment. Our partnership with you begins when you reach out to a member of our team, but it does not end when you walk out our doors.
