Durham, NC – June 4, 2013 – Veritas Collaborative, a specialty behavioral health hospital and center of excellence for the treatment of eating disorders, celebrates its one year anniversary today! Since opening its doors in 2012, Veritas Collaborative has expanded its treatment services to not only include an Adolescent program, but also a University Program.
The Adolescent program offers treatment to males and females, ages 10-19, at inpatient, acute residential, and partial hospitalization levels of care. Veritas Collaborative provides individualized evidenced-based care with a multidisciplinary treatment team in a warm and inviting environment. Some of its many distinguishing factors include a hands-on culinary program, an education program, and a weekly family program.
Crafted to support ongoing coursework, the University Program offers male and female college and university students partial hospitalization eating disorders treatment. The program allows a period of time in the morning for students to continue their academic trajectory. In addition, if a college or university student is out of state or would like a more supportive environment while in treatment, the Veritas Collaborative University Program has a room and board option.
Chase Bannister, MDIV, MSW, LCSW, CEDS and Stacie McEntyre, MSW, LCSW, CEDS had a vision of “a world where persons with eating disorders and their families have access to best-practice care and hold hope for a cure.” Today, they celebrate a center of excellence that is fulfilling that vision.
