Tanner joined Veritas on Jan. 3 and will oversee the organization’s new clinic located at 6600 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd., Bldg. 400, Ste. 150. Scheduled to open in February, the clinic will offer outpatient medical services for children, adolescents, and young adults with known or suspected eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder.
Tanner is an eating disorder expert and holds credentials as a certified eating disorders specialist by the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals. Prior to joining Veritas Collaborative, she worked for 17 years as a board-certified pediatrician and partner at Gwinnett Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.
In addition to practicing adolescent medicine, Tanner is also a sought-after speaker and educator. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine. Additionally, Tanner is a member of the Academy for Eating Disorders and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.

While working primarily with adolescent patients for almost 20 years, Tanner has been recognized by her peers and by families for the quality of care she provides. She received the designation of “Top Doctor” by Atlanta Magazine every year since 2013. She was also selected as a “Mom-Approved Doctor” by Atlanta Parent Magazine in 2015 and 2016.
