There’s A Lot To Look Forward To This Year At Veritas Collaborative

There’s a lot to look forward to this year at Veritas Collaborative, all of which will bring us that much closer to our vision of a world in which all persons with eating disorders, their families, and their communities have access to best-practice care and hold hope for a cure.

We have our 8th Annual Veritas Collaborative Symposium on Eating Disorders just around the corner, on September 20 & 21, 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia. This CE Professional event offers medical and mental health providers with the opportunity to learn from renowned experts in the eating disorder field to better apply best-practice care for patients and their families.

This month, we are incredibly excited to announce the addition of two new members to our leadership team. Mike Browder will serve as the new president of Veritas Collaborative and Julie Holland, MHS, CEDS as chief growth officer. Both Holland and Browder bring an immense amount of experience to Veritas and will help us in driving the standard of care in eating disorder treatment.

Browder and Holland could not have joined Veritas at a better time, with the Charlotte Child, Adolescent & Young Adult Clinic adding intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization services in June of this year. The upgraded 8,300-square-foot space will have the capacity to treat 20 patients in higher levels of care at any given time.

Mike Browder joins Veritas Collaborative with 35 years of health care leadership experience in a variety of health care systems. He is strongly interested in the human condition and wants to ensure he’s doing his part to provide excellent care for patients and their families despite the current fragmented healthcare market.

Through the Federation of American Hospitals, Browder has worked with colleagues in Washington D.C. to affect change in public policy, health delivery, and connectivity issues.

Formerly the CFO of RCCH HealthCare Partners and CEO of Essent Healthcare, Mike will now step into his newly created role as the first president of Veritas. Browder’s tasks at the company will include improving operations and setting the stage for a capital raise and a larger network of centers.

Browder will lead alongside founder and CEO Stacie McEntyre, to grow the company’s mission and presence in a market catering to the 30 million U.S. residents with eating disorders.

“Veritas has grown exponentially throughout the past five years, and I cannot wait to see what the next five years bring with Mike leading our day-to-day operations,” McEntyre said. “Mike’s business acumen, understanding of the health care landscape, and interest in public policy will be a game changer for Veritas to ensure consistent delivery of care across all sites to bring hope, healing and best-practice care to individuals and families throughout the nation impacted by eating disorders.”

Browder is more than up to the task of putting his decades of knowledge to work at Veritas. “The healthcare industry needs more of what Veritas has to offer,” Browder said. “The business is nimble, our people operate with passion, and the science-based care is making a real impact every day. On top of all of that, we see great potential for strategic growth, and I’m looking forward to leading that charge.”

In addition, Julie Holland joins Veritas Collaborative as the chief growth officer. Holland is a nationally recognized leader in the behavioral health field, with over 35 years of both center eating disorder and marketing expertise, making her an invaluable addition to the Veritas Collaborative leadership team.

She is recognized around the country for setting the standard for marketing and branding in the industry. Her unique combination of center and marketing expertise has been a tremendous asset in creating awareness of, and access to, quality eating disorders care for patients and families. She provides leading-edge professional education for eating disorders professionals.

Holland has specialized in the treatment of self-esteem, eating and body image issues for adults and adolescents for decades. She’s a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist and iaedp™ (International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals) Approved Supervisor.

As an iaedp™ Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Approved Supervisor, Julie has worked alongside world-renowned medical and mental health practitioners in the development and implementation of innovative therapeutic interventions to address these highly complex illnesses. She has worked with patients in several of the country’s leading eating disorder treatment centers, maintained a private practice both in the U.S. and in Bermuda, and became a noted thought leader and sought-after speaker at conferences and more.

“Julie has committed her career to creating thoughtful experiences that put compassionate, effective, best practice care at the forefront. We have confidence that the Veritas brand will thrive with her at the helm,” said McEntyre.

Holland’s extensive expertise will allow her to successfully contribute to growing access to care and connecting patients, families, professionals, and employers with specialized experts.

Together, Browder and Holland will bring Veritas that much closer to our driving vision, that all persons with eating disorders, their families, and their communities have access to best-practice care, endless support, and helpful resources on the journey to recovery.
