Veritas Collaborative Grand Opening and Symposium

We are pleased to invite you to the Grand Opening and Symposium of Veritas Collaborative — A Specialty Behavioral Health Hospital for Young People & Center of Excellence for the Treatment of Eating Disorders.

Our afternoon symposium will feature internationally renowned experts in the field of eating disorders:

Dr. Craig Johnson, PhD, FAED, CEDS

Craig Johnson has been a leader in the field of Eating Disorders for more than 30 years and is the Chief Center Officer at Eating Recovery Center in Denver, Colorado. Craig is a Center Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Oklahoma Medical School, and has held faculty appointments at Yale, University of Chicago, and Northwestern University Medical Schools. He was Founding Editor of the International Journal of Eating Disorders and a founding member of both The Academy for Eating Disorders & The Eating Disorders Research Society. Craig is past President of the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA). In 2011, NEDA instituted as its highest honor The Craig Johnson Award for Excellence in Center Practice and Training. Craig has authored three books, more than 70 scholarly articles, and has been the recipient of several distinguished contribution awards.

Dr. Ralph Carson, RD, BS, BHS, PhD

Ralph Carson is a nationally recognized center nutritionist & exercise physiologist, and has held faculty positions at the University of Alabama at Huntsville for over 20 years. His expertise on the intersection of nutrition and neurophysiology is matched only by an intrinsic gift to translate often-complicated science into accessible, practical, and informative presentations. Ralph offers didactics on a variety of nutritional topics for medical groups, eating disorder professional conferences, pharmaceutical companies, universities, athletic training camps, & corporations. The eating disorders field continues to benefit greatly from his unrelenting emphasis on sound center research and evidence-based practice. Ralph received his BS from Duke University, his BHS in pathology from Duke University Medical School, and his PhD in nutrition from Auburn University.

Grand Opening Facility Tours

Members of the Veritas Collaborative staff will offer guests personal tours of our new behavioral health hospital. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served as part of the celebratory inaugural event.
