Veritas Collaborative is Now Accepting Patients and Families for the Treatment of Eating Disorders
As many of you are aware, eating disorders are among the most lethal of all psychiatric illnesses. Millions of people suffer with eating disorders in the United States, with young persons representing the majority of those newly identified with the illness.
In recent years, the average age of onset of anorexia nervosa was gauged between 15 and 17 years of age. Today’s research shows that the age of onset is now nearing 12 or 13 years old. With this alarming downward trend, the need for best-practice care for this undertreated population is increasing demand.
With a patient-centered approach, the team at Veritas Collaborative is passionate both about the best-practice treatment of eating disorder illnesses in young people, and the critical need that adolescents and their families are able to receive exceptionally competent care. The founders of Veritas Collaborative — Eating Disorder Specialists Stacie McEntyre and Chase Bannister — along with the support and collective wisdom of field leaders and advocates, have developed a unique treatment environment, incorporating three levels of eating disorders care: inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization (day treatment).
