#BeRealBeYou with Veritas Collaborative
Please join us to celebrate the real you with a free photobooth event to kick off NEDAwareness Week 2015. This event is in partnership with the National Eating Disorders Association.
Veritas Collaborative will be promoting media literacy at The Streets at Southpoint in Durham, NC with a free photobooth and fun props where you can come and #BeRealBeYou!
The purpose of NEDAwareness Week is to put the spotlight on the seriousness of eating disorders and to improve public understanding of their causes, triggers, and treatments. By increasing awareness and access to resources, together we can encourage early detection and intervention, which can improve the likelihood of full recovery for millions.
The #BeRealBeYou theme was chosen to highlight body image acceptance within today’s social environment where the media often distorts real bodies through digital alteration. Veritas Collaborative believes that each person deserves to understand that the “perfect” images they see every day are often merely digital illusions.
We look forward to seeing you there!
