
Veritas Collaborative Names Laura Chaney as Chief Financial Officer
Veritas Collaborative, LLC, a national healthcare system for the treatment of eating disorders, announced the appointment of Laura Chaney as Chief Financial Officer, effective Monday, July 27, 2020.
Chaney has more than two decades of experience as a senior financial executive in the healthcare industry and has been responsible for strategic financial leadership, merger and acquisition support, budgeting, compliance, legal and regulatory affairs, practice management, and hospital relations as a CFO, external consultant, and CEO of her own business.

Prior to joining Veritas, Chaney was CFO of Wake Medical Laboratory Consultants, Inc. and Raleigh Pathology Laboratory Associates, P.A. There, she provided strategic financial and operational leadership, and was responsible for compliance and revenue cycle management oversight, payor contracting, and hospital and provider relations.
For more than a decade, Chaney was also the owner and CEO of SSI Healthcare Consulting, LLC, a solo healthcare consulting practice focused on the pathology, clinical laboratory, healthcare compliance, and revenue cycle management arenas.

Chaney is a Certified Public Accountant, with multiple financial healthcare certifications and membership in numerous professional associations. She holds a Masters in Jurisprudence from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ball State University.
