What to Expect When You Contact Veritas Collaborative
We know that seeking treatment for an eating disorder is often a difficult decision, one that requires support and understanding. We’re here to help. Starting with your first phone call, we’re committed to ensuring you get the expert, compassionate care you need as quickly as possible.
It’s natural to have questions about what to expect when you reach out for help. This overview of our admissions process describes the steps between your first phone call and your first day of treatment so that you are informed from the very start.
What to Expect When You Contact Veritas Collaborative
Our streamlined admissions process is designed to ensure that your journey to recovery starts right. It includes three essential steps:
Step 1: Reach out
Our admissions process begins with a phone call. You, your parent (if you are under 18), or your healthcare provider can reach us seven days a week at 855-875-5812. If you prefer that we call you, you can complete an online form, and we’ll respond to your submission within one business day. No referral is necessary to receive our services.
During our first phone call, an Admissions Specialist will gather basic contact, demographic, and insurance information and answer any questions you have about treatment at Veritas Collaborative. We’ll talk about the eating concerns you’re experiencing—whatever they may be—and schedule an intake assessment to determine your unique treatment needs.
Step 2: Eating disorder assessment
Your intake appointment will include a series of questions related to your relationship with food and body image. In this 45–60-minute appointment, an Intake Therapist will evaluate your symptoms and needs, review benefit information, and present a personalized plan for your treatment.
During your intake appointment, you’ll receive a recommendation for the most appropriate level of care along the continuum we offer: Inpatient, Residential, PHP/IOP, or Outpatient Treatment. In some cases, we may also need to complete a medical intake to confirm that it is medically safe for you to enter treatment at the recommended level of care.
Step 3: Admission
One primary point of contact, an Admissions Coordinator, will guide you through all the necessary admission details to ensure that your transition into treatment is as smooth as possible. They’ll coordinate the medical, financial, and logistical aspects of admission, facilitate any lodging or travel arrangements, and help you determine a treatment start date.
On your start date, we’ll welcome you to Veritas Collaborative either in person or virtually. You’ll attend an orientation and meet the care team who will walk alongside you in gaining the education, skills, and tools you need to understand and heal from your eating disorder.
Wherever you are on your journey to recovery, we’re here to help you take the next step. If you are concerned that you, your child, or your patient may be struggling with an eating disorder, please reach out to Veritas Collaborative today at 855-875-5812 or submit an online form.
