Based out of Washington, D.C., Adam Leggett obtained his master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Bernard Baruch College – City University of New York and is a licensed therapist. Adam oversees the northeastern United States for all Veritas Collaborative related professional relations and outreach activities.
Prior to joining Veritas, Adam has worked in the mental health industry in many different capacities, including practicing as a therapist in several different settings and overseeing professional outreach through a System of Care model for mental health services in North Carolina. While working in New York City, Adam facilitated individual and group-therapy programs for youth who experienced body image issues. Further, Adam has received specific training for patients with eating disorders using techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Mindfulness.
Adam’s passion lies in community outreach, as well as eating disorder education, professional relations, and advocacy for all who are living with mental illness.
