Andrea Spangler completed her Master of Education in Nutrition Education from Framingham State University, MA. Prior to earning that degree, she completed her undergraduate work, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with a minor in Human Development of Psychology from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. She completed her dietetic internship at University of Virginia Health System.
Andrea worked at University of Virginia Health System as an outpatient dietitian from 2007 to 2010, gaining knowledge in counseling, developmental delay, endocrinology, and celiac disease. She worked at VCU Health System in Richmond, Virginia from 2010 – 2016 as a clinical pediatric dietitian and became certified in pediatric nutrition in 2011. Andrea specialized in failure to thrive, developmental delay, gastrointestinal diseases, women’s health, and nutrition support. Andrea was appointed Vice President of the Virginia Neonatal Nutrition Association in December 2016.
