Becca Eckstein is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker having earned her MSW in Clinical Social Work from New York University and Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Violin Performance from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
Becca comes to Veritas via Massachusetts and New York, where she has worked in a variety of mental health settings with children and adolescents, including residential programs, inpatient psychiatric units, and day treatment centers. Her experience working in multiple levels of care helps to inform her work and envision the overarching goal of recovery. She most recently worked at Walden Behavioral Care, a treatment center for adolescents and adults with eating disorders in various stages of recovery.
Becca has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Maudsley Family Therapy. She strongly believes in an eclectic approach to treatment and pulls from various modalities in her work with individuals and families. She strives to empower adolescents to find their voice and create their own path to recovery. She also views the family unit as an essential tool in recovery and is passionate about empowering parents and caregivers to feel educated and confident in their ability to help.
