Hannah Gupton MMFT, LPCA | Veritas Collaborative Staff

Hannah is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in North Carolina and has a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in Family and Community Services with a minor in Psychology from East Carolina University. While at ECU, Hannah became increasingly curious about family systems and developed a strong interest in helping families cultivate change. Hannah currently facilitates and co-facilitates several groups including Family Workshop/Process group, Interpersonal Process Therapy group and Maintaining Recovery in addition to providing individual and family therapy.

Prior to joining the team at Veritas, Hannah obtained valuable experience working with individuals and families in a variety of settings. During her graduate training, Hannah worked within an inpatient hospital serving adolescents and adults with diverse mental health conditions. She also worked within the hospital’s Maternal Mental Health Services program, providing clinical assessments, therapy services, and resources to new and expectant mothers with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

Hannah has experience working with individuals with eating disorders across multiple levels of care including residential programs, partial hospitalization programs, and intensive outpatient programs. Her eclectic treatment approach is informed by training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Based Treatment (FBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) treatment modalities. Hannah is passionate about working to empower individuals and families by identifying their innate strengths and resources in order to promote positive change and growth.
