Jim is a senior finance executive with over 25 years of experience leading financial operations in the health care industry. He has not only led financial operations in community hospitals, but has also overseen large finance, accounting, and data and analytics teams for specialty care facilities, pharmacies, and retirement communities.
Prior to joining Veritas, Jim served as chief financial officer and controller for Injured Workers Pharmacy, a $190 million full-service pharmacy serving the overnight delivery needs of injured workers across all 50 states.
He also served as senior vice president and CFO for Masonicare, a hospital and healthcare services company with services ranging from acute and ambulatory surgical care to and outpatient behavioral health services. In that role, Standish was responsible for finance, treasury and investment, accounting and revenue cycle, reimbursement, risk management and insurance contracts.
In addition to his work leading high-growth organizations, Jim has also gone to Capitol Hill to testify before Congress and advocate for improved Medicare reimbursement.
A certified public accountant, Jim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Healthcare Financial Management Association and The American College of Healthcare Executives. He graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bryant University in Smithfield, RI and a master’s degree in healthcare management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Hartford, CT.
