Madeline earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work with a mental health specialization and Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with a minor in Sociology from Loyola University Chicago. During Madeline’s Master’s program, she served as a wellness center counselor at a local Chicago city college, providing both individual and community outreach/mental health education. Madeline also had multiple volunteer experiences that sparked her interest in working with youth and young adults, such as her involvement with a YWCA day camp for adolescents in foster care. Madeline is specifically passionate about the treatment of eating disorders and has focused much of her elective studies and research during college on symptom recognition and best-practice treatment.
Prior to coming to Veritas, Madeline served as an outpatient behavioral therapist for children and adolescents. She has developed proficiency in utilizing CBT, expressive therapy techniques, directive play therapy, and positive parenting techniques to assist children/adolescents and their families in the restoration of their emotional and behavioral health.
Madeline has a strong belief in evidenced-based practice and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure best possible care for patients. She is passionate about her career as a clinical social worker and continuously seeks training to further her knowledge and ability to implement evidenced-based treatments. Madeline firmly believes in utilizing an empowerment approach in treatment and enjoys being part of helping patients improve their physical and mental well-being on their journey towards recovery.
