Samantha is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pfeiffer University. Prior to attending Pfeiffer, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from East Carolina University.
Samantha began working as a Therapeutic Assistant at Veritas Collaborative in 2011 during her graduate school training. She gained valuable experience working directly with patients and their families during meals and therapeutic groups, and supported families throughout the transitions between levels of care.
Samantha has worked in diverse medical settings and outpatient clinics with populations including children with special needs, young adults, couples, families, and cancer patients at Duke Cancer Center.
As a trained LMFTA, Samantha is passionate about empowering the family system to create a supportive and cohesive environment. She also believes in drawing out the strengths and resources that each family member brings to the family unit.
