Dr. T.J. Raney joined the Veritas Collaborative team in 2015 after serving as Clinical Associate Professor at the UNC Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders for over 10 years. He has almost two decades of experience in supervision, training, and programming for patients with eating disorders and has provided individual, family, group and couples therapy for these patients and their families. T.J. has led multidisciplinary treatment teams comprised of physicians, nurses, dieticians, therapists, social workers and teachers on inpatient, partial hospital and outpatient eating disorder treatment units serving female and male patients of all ages. His most recent research collaborations have focused on enhancing the treatment of patients with eating disorders by involving loved ones strategically in their care. He is a member of the Academy for Eating Disorders and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.
Dr. Raney especially enjoys training and supervising professionals working with eating disorders patients, to help these providers understand the challenges and difficulties these individuals and their families face as they work toward recovery.
