Amy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from North Carolina State University. While in graduate school, Amy interned at Duke University Medical Center on their inpatient psychiatric unit. During her time at Duke, she provided crisis stabilization, clinical assessments, brief psychotherapy, as well as case management to adults suffering from acute mental illness.
She has experience working with individuals who have mood and anxiety disorders, as well as those struggling with trauma and grief. Amy also has 4 years of experience working closely with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. With the belief of using a strengths-based approach, Amy centers services around each client she works with, meeting them where they are in the moment to navigate their way in identifying their needs and empowering them to reach their goals.”
