Christina is a Registered Nurse who has over six years of nursing experience after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Rhode Island College in 2011. She has worked most recently as a lead RN in pediatric triage but has mainly worked in mental health. Christina has experience with adults, children, and adolescents in outpatient, residential, and inpatient settings and has experience working on the Eating Disorders Inpatient Unit at UNC in Chapel Hill. She has been board certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse since 2014 and is certified in mental health first aid. Christina has held roles in both clinical and leadership nursing positions helping to make a difference behind the scenes and at the forefront. She was nominated as an Aspiring Nurse in 2014 at UNC Neurosciences Hospital and helped raise money through a non-profit organization with a fellow teammate for therapeutic resources on the child inpatient unit where she was featured in a short blog and video.
Christina is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, watching documentaries, and spending time with her fiance and two children. She is grateful for the opportunity to help make a difference in those who are battling eating disorders at our new Charlotte location. Christina hopes to help erase the stigma associated with this illness and increase awareness within the community.
