Jeff Clark brings strategic planning and operational experience to Veritas to help create an effective business culture, build a dynamic Board of Managers, investor base and Leadership Team, and develop strategic partnerships in the community. He is keenly focused on external strategy and growth issues.
Prior to forming Veritas Collaborative, Jeff founded Aurora Funds in 1994 and serves as Managing General Partner. Aurora has raised a total of five early-stage venture funds with total capital under management exceeding $250 million. Jeff leads the Life Science team and has overseen investments in more than thirty life science companies (Biotechnology, Medical Devices, Diagnostics, and Healthcare Services) and has full cycle investing experience from inception to exit including numerous IPOs and M&A transactions. He has served on the board of directors of over 15 different Aurora portfolio companies and currently serves on the boards of Cardioxyl, Hyperbranch, Metabolon, and Regado (RGDO – Nasdaq), assisting in the strategic direction of each.
He maintains strong ties to the RTP community, serving on visiting boards at local universities as well as serving on the board of regional entrepreneurial organizations and not-for-profits. His service includes past Chairman of the Board of North Carolina’s Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), the Board of Overseers of the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Board of Directors for TROSA (Triangle Residential Options for Substance Abusers) where he is past Chairman and current member of the Executive Committee.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and a MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
