Jenna Ferguson

Intake Coordinator

Jenna is a bilingual Licensed Clinic Social Worker Associate (LCSW-A) with a Master of Social Work degree from North Carolina State University. Jenna also received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literatures from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

Jenna has been with Veritas Collaborative since 2016, and joined the Clinical Intake Team in 2018 shortly after finishing her graduate degree program. Prior to working with Veritas, Jenna was the Assistant Director at an educational center in Wilmington and Raleigh, NC. Since joining Veritas, Jenna has been able to gain a deeper understanding of the complexity of eating disorders and the impact that they can have on both the individual and their support systems.

During graduate school, Jenna was an intern for the Raleigh Boys Club and for Athens Drive Magnet High School as a school social worker. She has experience working with children and adolescents at the K-12 grade levels as well as their families. At RBC, Jenna worked primarily with elementary-aged students and their families to provide supplemental academic support. At Athens Drive, Jenna met with students and their families on an individual basis to identify and address education and social-emotional needs, as well as navigating challenges outside of school. Jenna served as a member of the Intervention Team and the Section 504 Team to provide accommodations for students who required additional supports in order to reach their educational goals.

Since 2015, Jenna has spent several months living in San Pedro Sula, Honduras where she worked as a program director for a NC-based not-for-profit and partnered closely with several children’s homes in the city and surrounding areas. Through this experience, Jenna was drawn to the mental health field and decided to pursue higher education in hopes that she would be able to use her language skills to better serve an often under-served community. She has a particular interest in the specific cultural needs of the Spanish-speaking community and the development of culturally-informed services and programs.

Jenna is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina and in her free time enjoys exploring the Raleigh/Durham area, playing ukulele, and spending time with her beagle mix, Andy.
