Julie Holland, MHS, CEDS is a nationally recognized leader in the behavioral health field as a marketing and business development executive, eating disorders clinician and public speaker. She has been credited with setting the standard for marketing and branding for the industry. Her unique fusion of clinical and marketing expertise has been instrumental in expanding awareness of and access to quality eating disorders care for patients and families, and in providing leading-edge professional education for eating disorders professionals. Nationally known as a collaborative leader with strong relationship development skills, she has been instrumental in building and leading high performing teams and driving innovative strategies to bring patients to the appropriate level of care. Under her management and direction, the companies she has represented have been the recipients of multiple awards recognizing rapid growth, excellence in public relations, marketing and communications.
As an iaedp™ Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Approved Supervisor, Julie has worked alongside world renowned medical and mental health practitioners in the development and implementation of cutting-edge therapeutic interventions to address these highly complex illnesses. She has worked with patients in several of the country’s leading eating disorder treatment centers, maintained a private practice both in the US and in Bermuda, and became a noted thought leader on the speaking circuit.
Ms. Holland joined Eating Recovery Center in 2009 as Chief Marketing Officer overseeing marketing and admissions for all Eating Recovery Center programs across the country. She was instrumental in establishing the highly visible and respected ERC national brand, as well as implementing admissions processes and marketing strategies tailored to the unique needs of patients, families and professionals touched by eating disorders. In August 2015, Julie was named Senior Vice President of Business Development and Behavioral Health Solutions at ERC and served in that role until she transitioned into her most recent position as Executive Director, ERC Foundation and International Relations.
Prior to joining ERC, Julie served as Vice President, Business Development, Eating Disorders Programs for CRC Health Group, where she was responsible for the development and implementation of all intake, marketing and outreach efforts nationwide. She has directed marketing and customer relationship management at several leading eating disorder treatment programs across the country including The Renfrew Center where she served as Director, Professional Relations and Education and Director of the Eating Disorders Program at the Clark Center at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.
She served as iaedp™ Certification Director for 11 years where she was instrumental in establishing certification for eating disorders professionals. In addition, she was the Executive Director of the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals overseeing the credentialing program for CSATs.
Ms. Holland continues to be very active with iaedp™, currently serving on the Senior Advisory Council and Chapter Governance Committee and holds the position of Marketing Chair for the international organization. In addition, she holds memberships in several marketing, healthcare and eating disorder organizations. She has held several board positions over the years including iaedp™, Excelsior Youth and most recently, ERC’s Advisory Board. Julie has received several professional awards over the years including being named a Denver Business Journal Outstanding Women in Business Finalist and iaedp™’s Special Recognition Award for Dedicated Service.
Julie received her Master’s degree in Health Science with an emphasis in Counseling from Georgia Southern University and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Armstrong State College.
Her most important life-time accomplishment is raising her 17-year old daughter, Anna. They are excited to be working on a project together, a new blog focusing on notable topics relevant to Moms and Daughters – “I Said, She Said”. They reside in Centennial, CO with their pug, Bear, and french bulldog, Tedi Rose.
