Ken was born and raised in Alabama. He was introduced to the culinary world at a young age by his father who is also a Chef. Ken graduated with honors from the Capitol Culinary Institute of Keiser University in Tallahassee FL with a degree in Culinary Arts and is a member of the American Culinary Federation.
He started his culinary career at the age of 19, working in local restaurants until becoming the Executive Sous Chef at Dothan Country Club. During his 10-year career with Dothan Country Club Ken assumed the role of Interim Head Chef twice. In 2006, Ken moved to Louisville, KY to become the a.m. Sous Chef at Louisville Country Club.
After two years; he was invited by the Head Chef of Carolina Country Club in Raleigh, NC to become their a.m. Sous Chef; where he spent the next 8 years of his culinary career until he joined Veritas as Head Chef for the Durham Adult Facility, in November 2016. Ken is very passionate about understanding eating disorders and helping others to positively reconnect with food.
