Lori has a Master of Arts in Psychology from East Carolina University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Lori has over ten years in the human services field, working with both adolescents and adults in a variety of settings, specializing in the areas of mental health and substance abuse. Initially, she began working in a Level III residential facility, providing services to both male and female adolescents with a variety of mental health diagnoses. Following this, she was the supervisor for a non-profit afterschool program serving at-risk adolescents with a focus on development of life skills, physical activity and academic achievement. During graduate school, Lori was employed with an outpatient substance abuse and mental health treatment facility, providing case management, youth prevention programming and recovery and wellness groups for patients. Prior to Veritas, Lori spent over six years employed through the NC Department of Health and Human Services as a Rehabilitation Counselor, before being promoted to Casework Advisor, providing supervision and guidance to other counseling staff.
Lori has a passion for working in this field and enjoys learning new skills each day to better serve the patients she works with. Lori is extremely family-oriented and enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two young sons.
