Tritesha Steele

Intake Coordinator

Tritesha’s passion for helping others began in childhood. She recalls, as early as grade school, being a listening ear and providing a helping hand to those in need. In the summer of 2008, she earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro turning her passion into a career. Tritesha went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in August of 2014. During her time as a graduate student, Tritesha worked for the state of North Carolina providing long-term psychiatric care to adolescents while simultaneously interning at North Carolina State University Counseling center where she provided counseling services to students. Tritesha is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is a Nationally Certified Counselor. She has worked in the mental health field for over 10 years. In that time, Tritesha has provided mental health services in the non-profit, rural, private, and government settings. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adult populations. Tritesha has a wealth of experience employing aspirational ethics, crisis intervention, and culturally-informed counseling. She has worked with a number of presenting issues including substance abuse, mood disorders, personality disorders, and most recently eating disorders. Tritesha joined the Veritas team in 2017, with a goal of enriching the lives of patients, their families, and all other stakeholders impacted by eating disorders.
