Acute Residential

For individuals who need around-the-clock care

Acute residential care, provided at our Veritas Hospitals, is structured, around-the-clock treatment that comprises both individual and group therapies. What differentiates it from standard residential care is that a medical doctor and nursing staff are available onsite, 24/7. This level of care is suitable for individuals who are medically stable but in need of 24-hour behavioral and medical supervision.

Levels of Care

We begin treatment at the level most appropriate for each individual’s needs.

About Veritas Acute Residential Care

Acute residential care can serve as a starting point on an individual’s journey of recovery or their next step after inpatient care. Our daily individual, group, and community-of-support programming is informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy and includes eating disorder-specific internal medicine support and direct psychiatric support, as well as moderate Therapeutic Assistant supervision. Additional residential treatment programs include individual, specialized support from a multidisciplinary team consisting of a medical provider, a psychiatrist, a registered dietitian, and a psychotherapist. This treatment team remains with the individual and family for the duration of their recovery journey at Veritas.
