For individuals who require medical stabilization

Inpatient care, provided at our Veritas Hospitals, is structured, highly monitored, around-the-clock treatment that comprises medical care and both individual and group therapies. Inpatient care is suitable for individuals who require daily medical interaction, are medically unstable, and/or are severely depressed or a danger to themselves as a result of their entrenchment in eating disorder behaviors. Veritas is one of the nation’s only eating disorder programs able to treat individuals who require this level of care.

About Veritas Inpatient Care

Inpatient care is our highest level of care and is often the first step in an individual’s recovery journey when medical stabilization is necessary. Our daily individual, group, and community-of-support programming is informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy and includes eating disorder-specific pediatric or internal medicine support, direct psychiatric support, and regular supervision by a Therapeutic Assistant. Additional inpatient treatment programs include individual, specialized support from a multidisciplinary team consisting of a medical provider, a psychiatrist, a registered dietitian, and a psychotherapist. This treatment team is committed to providing best-practice care, based on established and emerging clinical evidence, and remains with the individual and family for the duration of their recovery journey at Veritas.
