Residential Eating Disorder Treatment for Children and Adolescents

Around-the-clock care and support for young people dealing with disordered eating.

Veritas Collaborative’s residential programming for eating disorders offers highly structured 24-hour care in a safe, homelike environment. Treatment is closely monitored and comprehensive, integrating medical, nutritional, and therapeutic interventions. Our child and adolescent residential treatment is designed for young patients who require around-the-clock support from medical providers, psychotherapists, registered dietitians, and other staff to protect their medical and psychiatric stability. Residential treatment is an appropriate choice for children and adolescents who are medically stable but need help breaking out of unhelpful routines, rules, and behaviors. Veritas’ care model was built around children and adolescents. Our residential children and adolescent programming reflects this, providing the highest quality of evidence-based, age-appropriate care.

Components of Residential Eating Disorder Treatment for Children and Adolescents

Residential care can serve as a starting point on a child or adolescent’s recovery journey or their next step after inpatient care. We know that eating disorders create unique challenges in younger populations. That’s why we tailor our child and adolescent residential programs to the distinct medical and psychiatric needs of young people. You can count on Veritas’ expertise and structured support to provide your child and family with the tools for a successful recovery and life outside treatment. We customize each child and adolescent treatment plan using a range of holistic, best-practice therapeutic methods that focus on interrupting and changing eating disorder behaviors. Core components of care include:

  • Personalized, one-on-one support from a multidisciplinary team that includes a medical provider, a psychiatrist, a registered dietitian, and a therapist

  • Specialized pediatric medicine support
  • 24-hour nursing care
  • Direct psychiatric support
